Don’t look now but I think I have a tree growing out of my head…

Hi, I’m Jeana and I’ve loved photography since the ripe old age of 9 (give or take a day). The first image I remember seeing, the one that set me on this journey, was a black and white photo by Ansel Adams taken in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, called The Tetons and the Snake River. He took the image in 1942 but I first laid eyes on it in the 80s when I was flipping through magazines in our small town library back home. I don’t think I will ever forget that day because that’s the day I fell in love with the art of landscape photography.

I was instantly fascinated by the fact that this person I had never met had taken a photo of a place I had never seen or heard of and immediately could transport me to that place. I could close my eyes and I could see it — as clear as day — but yet I had never been there myself. Right away I knew that I wanted to do that. I wanted to travel the world’s landscapes, take pictures, and share them with everyone.

When you view my images, I hope they ignite a memory or spark a sense of adventure within you, I hope they instantly make you feel the way I did all those years ago, that anything is possible, because it really is.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope to see you again.

Jeana
